Labrums Solicitors has been shortlisted as finalists in four categories in the inaugural Hertfordshire Digital Awards.

Judges for the award, which will be held on 24th September 2015 at the Holiday Inn in Stevenage, shortlisted the St Alban’s legal firm in four categories – more than any other entrant.

Teresa Crowley, Practice Manager said: “We are delighted that the judges have recognised the effort we have put into keeping

up to date with technology and how we have embraced the shift into the digital era.

“Here at Labrums we are not afraid to make changes and move with the times.

“We have had a paperless office for four years and we are always looking for new ways to improve the way we work and the service we provide.

“We have a modern looking website, regular blogs, LinkedIn articles, Facebook messages and Twitter to ensure we interact with our clients and potential clients. This all allows us to respond and help clients instantly.”

Labrums is shortlisted in the ‘responsive website’, ‘use of social media for business’, ‘blog’ and ‘website’ categories.

Andy Pritchard, founder of the Hertfordshire Digital Awards, said: “The quality of entries has been really high in Hertfordshire. Each of the categories is really hotly contended.

“Labrums has set themselves apart from the pack by doing things that others haven’t.

“The response has been amazing. We have received 354 entries across the 14 categories. So many people are using digital media for their businesses and it seemed a shame not to shout about it.

“Digital media is the answer to an age-old problem of how to engage with clients and customers instantly. Businesses need to adapt like our finalists and reach out to their customers in new ways.

“Labrums have been able to do that in an effective way and that’s why they are finalists in four categories.

“They have achieved results in the right way and they are setting an example for others to follow. It’s difficult to get it right, but when you do, you can reap the benefits.”

This is the first year specific digital-focused awards have been held in Hertfordshire. Similar awards by the organisers were held in 2013 in Essex and due to the success, they have been rolled out to Surrey, Kent, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Milton Keynes.

In each category a bronze, silver and gold award will be presented. The panel is looking for signs that online activity has helped company’s business improve in any way.

The judging panel consisted of industry professionals from Sky Sports, Universal Music Group, and Maserati.
