Icebreaker event hailed a success

An icebreaker breakfast, ahead of tonight’s Herts Digital Awards, has been hailed a success by its hosts.

Labrums Solicitors organised the networking breakfast at the impressive Knebworth House barns for fellow finalists and local businesses to meet ahead of this evening’s awards at the Holiday Inn, Stevenage .

Labrums are finalists in four categories of the awards – including ‘responsive website’,

‘use of social media for business’, ‘blog’ and ‘website’ categories.

Michael Labrum, senior partner at the law firm, said: “The awards have created a real buzz in the office.

“Social media is imperative for businesses these days, but It is important that digital media has a purpose – to link with people and hopefully result in business connections.

“Networking events like this morning are an ideal way to meet people you have been speaking with face to face and build on the strong foundations you have already established digitally.

“Recognition, like the Herts Digital Awards, is an endorsement that what you’re doing is on the right track. To have that sort of positive feedback was very encouraging.”

This is the first networking event hosted by Labrums, but the forward thinking firm are already planning more.

This is the first year specific digital-focused awards have been held in Hertfordshire.  

In each category a bronze, silver and gold award will be presented. The judging panel is looking for signs that online activity has helped company’s business improve in any way.

The judging panel consisted of industry professionals from Sky Sports, Universal Music Group, and Maserati.
