Our Approach

Our approach is to fully understand you, your challenges and what you require from us so we can agree and deliver a result that meets your needs.

A key part of that is to ensure that you understand what our conveyancing fees will be and how they are calculated.

Our Conveyancing fees

Freehold sale or purchase, leasehold sale or purchase, mortgages and re-mortgages

Our fee structure for buying or selling your home, or another property, is linked to the value of the property and, as it is likely to be one of the most important financial transactions of your life, it is important you get the right help.

Our legal fees and disbursements can be found here.

If the property is a leasehold purchase or sale our charges will be a little higher and there are likely to be some leasehold disbursements which are charged by the landlord, such as “notice fees”. These are often not known at the outset of the case. They are usually in the region of £150-£500 plus VAT. There are also likely to be apportionments of ground rent and service charge on completion.

One of our team can give you a specific quote for your particular property transaction within a few minutes so please call us to discuss what you need.

Our property team all have experience of dealing with all types of property transactions:

Michael Labrum, a qualified solicitor who has over 40 years’ experience.

Steffi Eschenburg and Laura Mills, qualified solicitors with over 7 years’ experience each.

Roxanne Stevenson who is a New Zealand qualified solicitor who also has 7 years’ experience and Bethany Mansfield a conveyancer with 3 years’ experience.

The lawyers are supported by experienced paralegals Victoria Ajudua and Sara Francisco plus our excellent Client Relationship Team.

Timescales

It is very hard to estimate how long a property transaction will take as there are many factors that need to be taken into consideration, however, on average it usually takes 6-10 weeks to reach the point of exchange.
