A traditional approach channels everything through the solicitor managing the case, risking bottlenecks, communication and relationship challenges but also a blanket application of costs.
At Labrums we carefully apportion legal and administrative tasks to the relevant members of your team. With differing levels of hourly charges or no charge at all, we aim to provide a more discriminating, transparent and accurate level of cost.
With the support of the Client Care team, at no charge, you experience a high level of service without a high level of cost. You only pay for quality legal advice and process.
Our Client Care team are there to explain costs as you go, leaving your solicitor free to focus on the essential legal aspects of your case.
What is Involved?
From the first discussion you have, be it on the phone or face to face, we will:
- clarify the background of your case and what you are hoping to achieve
- give an explanation of the issues as we see them and the risks and options involved
- provide an indication of time scales and costs
- introduce you to our firm and what to expect as a client
There is NO CHARGE for this initial discussion.
If you are happy with the way we work, the options discussed, and you wish to instruct us then we confirm in writing:
- the exact scope of your case, the strategy and results targeted
- how you prefer to be kept up to date and the overall level of service required
- a fixed fee quote or an estimate of time and hourly costs
- the next steps
- our responsibilities and what we intend to do
- your responsibilities and what we require from you
- what a successful result will look like so our expectations are in line
The Right Result
Although service is a priority, we never lose sight of what brings you to us in the first place - the need for expert legal advice.
We use the law intuitively and innovatively whatever your case, to support rather than limit what you are hoping to achieve.
We take a broad, pro-active perspective, looking around your case not just ‘at’ it, and take into consideration both the personal and commercial realities involved. We also question the obvious and less obvious alternatives, to make sure recommendations are viable both short and long term.

In the unlikely event that you are in some way dissatisfied, our Client Care team will effectively manage any concerns or complaints you may have in order to attain a just and fair resolution.
