Payment Protection Insurance
Payment Protection Insurance is usually taken out with a Loan or Credit Card Agreement to help meet payments if you become unable to work e.g. due to illness or redundancy.
There is increasing evidence that many Payment Protection Insurance policies have been mis-sold, resulting in claims now being made and companies being ordered to repay premiums, interest and any commission that may have been paid.
If you have, or have had, a PPI policy in place which started within the last 6 years, and you were at the time that the policy was taken out:
- self-employed, unemployed or retired
- suffering from an illness or injury
- not asked about your employment status or previous or existing illnesses or injuries
- not given the option of refraining from or felt pressured into taking out a policy
- not given full details of a policy including its exclusions and limitations
- not made aware of any other policies available to you
- not given full details of any commission that may have been paid to the creditor when selling such a product
- unaware that any such policy had been applied to your Credit Agreement
Or, if you have made an unsuccessful claim recently, then you may, depending on the circumstances, have a Claim for mis-selling.
A SIMPLE QUESTIONNAIRE can usually tell us whether you have been mis- sold and if we think your Claim is likely to succeed.
“NO WIN NO FEE”
We recognise you may have already paid out more than you need, so we do not ask for our own costs up front. Instead we take a percentage of the total sum you recover as payment, up to a maximum of 25%. The only expenses you will incur are standard administrative charges which your creditor is permitted to charge when supplying documentation required for your Claim against them. These currently stand at £13.00 per Credit Agreement and payment will be required from you prior to commencement of work on your behalf.
NB. If you have been introduced to this firm by a professional third party, your “introducer” may charge their own fee in addition to our costs. It is recommended that you speak directly to them in order to clarify their fee.
